How Did We Get Started?

In 2017, a group of women began meeting to consider a pregnancy care center for the area. The women came from all walks of life: nurses, pastors, school workers, counselors, hospital, health department, schools, business, churches. The goal was to produce a high quality center using Care-Net’s standard of excellence and framework. After surveying the community and finding that services were needed, they moved forward to creating the framework and paperwork needed for the center.

The team completed the basic groundwork for the center and chose the name, Grace Place. They chose this name because the center's purpose is to exercise love, kindness, mercy, favor and service to women and families who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. At Grace Place the volunteers and employees give this grace freely as they model God's grace.

The group wrote the mission statement, goal, and vision and opened in June of 2019 with a two days a week schedule. Now we are pleased to be open five days a week from 9-5.
