Volunteer Opportunities

Who They Are:

What They Do:

We love volunteers! They are the thing that makes Grace Place work. Many volunteers come to us through the school system for community service. Other volunteers come from church and school groups. Both men and women are welcome to volunteer. We also have individuals who want to put some structure into their lives. They come weekly. If you have a few hours every week, we would love to have you spend some time with us.

We need help keeping our facility tidy. This means volunteers to rake leaves and clean the parking lot occasionally. Sometimes we need help with changing lights (right now we need help with that). We have a pretty constant stream of donations that needs to be sorted, washed, and put away.

Boutique Volunteer:

*Stock stores and keep it tidy.

*Check out moms when they complete their shopping.

*Fill out ledger in client's folder to record the sale.

Boutique Volunteer:

Donation Processor:

*Greet donors and give them a tax receipt

*Package diapers

*Sort donations. Remove stained, torn or work items. Pretreat as

needed. Wash donations.

*Sort laundered donations by season, gender, and size

*Weekly commitment not required. Work with Client manager to

establish schedule.

Volunteer Requirements:

*Fill out a volunteer application

*Pass a background check

*Interview with Client Services Director

*Able to stand, bend, climb, and lift at least 20 pounds.
